Updated my .vimrc file.
I use vim (vi) a lot.  I am always turning on syntax highlighting.  Ugh!  Stupid me, have it be on by default… vi ~/.vimrc add this to the file syntax on Done!  Enjoy the syntax now.

Mercurial MQ (hg mq)
I was going to write a blog post this evening about how I learned mercurial hq.  But I don’t think I am learned enough to write about it.  However, I did take a somewhat simple task and break into a bunch of queues.  The queuing process was easy and just what a developer like myself needs.  The problem I had was in the pushing/applying patches (queues)… I did it right, but got error...

RhodeCode - web based open source repository... →
I am trying to spread the word more about this project.  Its great and it seems to moving pretty fast.  Its really easy to install and get up and working.  Create repositories on your server with it, search your code and do fun stats with it.  It replaces hgweb for us and honestly replaces BitBucket in many regards.  Its not as far along as Github (yet); for instance: coming soon they are adding...

Apple Should Stand Up and Defend its Developers →
We don’t have applications in the app store, nor have we worked with clients that have apps in the App Store that use “In-App Purchasing”.  But I want to know the same thing… will Apple stand up and help us?  Something doesn’t feel right that they don’t.  I guess time will tell.

Mercurial (hg): you need the Keyring Extension →
The mercurial keyring plugin is an absolute must if you use Mercurial.  I use it on a Mac so it works great with the Mac Keychain.  The Keyring extension replaces the old hgkeychain plugin. … go get it!

hg-git installation woes on a Mac?
I use hg-git a lot.  Why?  Well I interact with github repositories a lot and right now I don’t care to learn git.  So thanks to the good people at github.com, they made a great little mercurial plugin so we can just use mercurial all day long with git.  I have had no problems with it.  I can do everything from clone, pull, commit, merging, etc, etc. Until yesterday.  On my Mac, I...

I turned 30 and all I got was...
Day 1 - threw my back out. Completely immobilized me. Day 2 - the fallout of the back being thrown out was a super stiff neck. Still had hard times moving. Day 3 - a sickness that can only be described by watching bad horror movies with vomitting zombies. The good news is, that I had a great party, April 30. Birthday was May 1. Does other better? Please tell me it does.
